Supreme Researchers Consultancy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 May 2026 · Applies to https://supremeresearchers.com

Supreme Researchers Consultancy (Pty) Ltd("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we may collect when you use our website, blog, newsletter, contact channels, and related services; how we use it; and the choices you have. Our registered company number is 2025/045347/07.

This policy is drafted with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) in mind. It is not legal advice; please consult a qualified professional if you need certainty for your situation.

1. Who is responsible?

The responsible party for this website is Supreme Researchers Consultancy (Pty) Ltd. For privacy requests or questions, contact us at info@supremeresearchers.com or via our Contact page.

2. Scope

This policy covers visitors to our public marketing website (including the blog), people who subscribe to our newsletter, and anyone who emails or messages us. It does not govern third-party sites we link to; their own policies apply.

3. Information we may collect

  • Website and blog: technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate time on site (often via server logs or analytics tools), subject to your cookie choices.
  • Newsletter: the email address you provide when you subscribe, plus timestamps and subscription status needed to manage the list.
  • Contact enquiries: name, email address, and any content you include when you write to us.
  • Content management (administrators): if you are an authorised user of our CMS, we process account details (e.g. email, name) required to secure access and audit actions.

4. How we use information

We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis, including:

  • Contract and requests: responding to enquiries and delivering consultancy-related communications you ask for.
  • Consent: sending marketing emails when you have subscribed, and non-essential cookies where you have accepted them via our cookie banner.
  • Legitimate interests: operating and securing the site, understanding aggregate usage, and improving our services, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligations: retaining or disclosing information where the law requires.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies or local storage for essential site functionality, preferences, and (if you accept) analytics or personalisation. Our banner stores your choice (e.g. accepted or declined) in your browser's local storage so we do not repeatedly ask on every visit. You can clear site data in your browser settings to reset preferences.

See our cookie banner on first visit to adjust preferences where offered.

6. Hosting, CMS, database, and files

The site runs on infrastructure we or our hosting provider operate. Blog posts and structured content are stored in a database. Images and files uploaded through our content system may be stored on our servers or, where configured, on Google Cloud Storage or similar cloud services so they can be delivered reliably to readers. Providers act under instructions appropriate to their role (e.g. processor/hosting).

7. Email and newsletter processing

When you subscribe through our website, we store your email address in our content system database as an active subscriber until you unsubscribe. We send a short confirmation email and, when we publish a new blog article, a single email with a link to the post. Each message includes an unsubscribe link that removes you from the active list without contacting us. You may also email info@supremeresearchers.com if you need help.

Newsletter and transactional mail are sent using SMTP (our own or a provider we configure). Your address is used only for these purposes unless you consent otherwise or the law requires otherwise.

8. Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or we delete inactive lists according to our internal schedule.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration. No internet transmission is completely secure; you share information at your own risk beyond what we reasonably control.

10. Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers (hosting, email, cloud storage, analytics) who process it on our behalf under appropriate agreements. Some providers may be located outside South Africa; where required, we ensure safeguards compatible with POPIA (such as contracts or adequacy decisions).

11. Your rights (POPIA)

Subject to POPIA and applicable procedures, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information we hold; to object to processing; or to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa). To exercise rights, contact info@supremeresearchers.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

12. Children

Our website is aimed at professionals, students, and organisations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental consent. If you believe we have done so, please contact us so we can delete it.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where the law allows.
